Mivu
In short: your diary is stored on your iPhone, not on our servers. We have no accounts, analytics, ads or tracking. If you choose to connect ChatGPT, the meal details you send for analysis go to OpenAI through your own ChatGPT account.

Mivu is published by an independent developer based in Israel, who is responsible for this app and this policy. Contact: support@mivuapp.com.
Data stored on your iPhone
Mivu stores what you enter in a database on your device: meals, meal photos, notes, nutrition estimates, weights, workouts, your profile (such as height, age, sex, goal and diet notes), daily targets and Coach conversations. We do not operate a server that receives or stores this data, and we cannot see it.
Backups and exports are created only when you ask, in a folder or location you choose (for example iCloud Drive). That location's provider handles those files under its own terms.
Camera, microphone and speech
The camera is used only to attach meal photos you take. When you speak a meal, speech is turned into text on your iPhone; audio is not saved or sent anywhere. Mivu asks for these permissions only when you use the feature.
Optional: ChatGPT connection (OpenAI)
Mivu works without any account. If you choose to connect ChatGPT, Mivu first shows what will be shared and asks for your agreement, then you sign in with OpenAI. After that, when you analyze a meal or talk to Coach, Mivu sends the following to OpenAI through your ChatGPT account:
- meal photos and notes you submit,
- your Coach messages and relevant diary entries,
- profile details needed for the answer (such as targets, height, weight, age and goal).
OpenAI processes this data under OpenAI's Privacy Policy and your ChatGPT account settings. Usage counts against your own ChatGPT plan. Your sign-in token is kept in the iPhone Keychain. You can disconnect at any time in Settings › ChatGPT connection.
Optional: USDA FoodData Central
If you add your own USDA FoodData Central API key, Mivu sends food search text to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's service to look up nutrition facts. No other diary data is sent.
What we do not do
We do not sell data, show ads, use analytics or tracking tools, or share data with data brokers. Mivu has no in-app purchases.
Deleting your data
Settings › Delete profile removes a profile's meals, photos, weights and preferences from your iPhone. Deleting your last profile also disconnects ChatGPT. Deleting the app removes all of its data from the device. Backups and exports you saved elsewhere stay where you saved them until you delete them. To delete data held by OpenAI, use your ChatGPT account's data controls.

Nutrition figures and targets are estimates, not medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional before making medical or dietary decisions.
Children
Mivu is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
Because your diary is on your device, you can view, correct, export and delete it yourself at any time. Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, and, where it applies, the EU/UK GDPR, you may also contact us about access, correction or deletion, and you may complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app.
